Verdict – 0/5

PROS –
1) Being the final chapter of “The Hobbit” trilogy.
2) Confirming that Bilbo’s quest was a disaster with a sad ending and it’ll be concluded by Frodo.
3) End credits song by Billy Boyd –  “The Last Goodbye”.

CONS –
1) The Title – It was supposed to be “There and Back Again”. The Battle of the Five Armies makes no sense and didn’t justify the title for an epic conclusion.
2) 11 minutes for Smaug ? The “incident with the dragon” lasted less than the discussion.
3) Too much screen time for Ryan Gage as Alfrid.
4) The movie is the worst entry in the entire series. The movie appears hushed. The CGI, the screenplay etc was mediocre and Peter Jackson wrapped up production to conclude the series for the sake of it.

VERDICT – 5/5

PROS –
1) Part of the “New Wave” of movies in Indian Cinema where small-town directors are fearlessly canvasing small-town stories instead of copying Hollywood blockbusters. It’s good to see YRF joining the band-wagon.
2) Fast-paced screenplay
3) Soundtrack including Moh Moh Ke Dhaage and The 90s song.

CONS –
1) Nothing left to watch if you’ve seen the trailer.

Francis Underwood: Do you really want to discuss “courage”, Claire? Because anyone can commit suicide, or spout they’re mouth in front of a camera. But you want to know what really takes courage? Keeping your mouth shut, no matter what you might be feeling. Holding it all together when the stakes are this high.
