Ted (Season 1)

VERDICT – 3/5

PROS –
1) Set in 1993, in between the opening sequence and main plot of Ted (2012), the series depicts the early life of a sentient teddy bear toy named Ted, as he lives with 16-year-old young boy John Bennett and his family
2) Ted is one of the best character created in Hollywood in past 20 years. A prequel series is a treat.
3) 90s set-up is nicely played.

-I… I hope you’re good at your job.

-I’m not. Stop eating cereal.

MacGruber (Season 1)

STORY – 1
DIRECTOR – 0
ACTOR – 1
MUSIC – 0
CULT – 1

VERDICT – 3/5

PROS –
1) After spending a decade in the prison, MacGruber is released by the govt. to take on a suicide mission. The story started exactly from the point where it was left in MacGruber (2010).
2) The level of action and “throat-rip” will put The Expendables to shame.
3) Watch it for Will Forte and his idiosyncrasies.

CONS –
1) Halfway down the season, it appears the makers forget it’s supposed to be a “comedy” action series.
