Verdict – 1/5

Pros –

1) “Channa Mereya” Song
2) SRK delivered the best line in the movie.

Cons –

1) Worst Karan Johar movie of all time. The guy surely lost his mojo.
2) Shallow character development. Screenplay full of overacting in the first half.
3) Aishwarya Rai’s horrific extended cameo.
4) Generic Ranbir Kapoor plot. Dazed & Confused rich desi lad trying to find solace in music with a past girlfriend & blah..blah…bullshit.
5) The movie died much before “Alizeh” died of cancer.
6) Last minute Lahore to Lucknow editing adds more woes to already irrelevant plot.

Verdict – 3/5

Pros –

1) Stephen Lang as The Blind Man.
2) A tinge of Hitchcock’s “Psycho”. (e.g. The blind man’s home)

Cons –

1) The movie is falsely tagged as a horror film, while the element of body horror is dominating.
2) A story without a protagonist. The Blind Man had all my votes till we saw his underground prison. The 3 robbers do not deserve sympathy from anyone at any point of time.
3) A possible sequel ?

Narrator: If Tom had learned anything… it was that you can’t ascribe great cosmic significance to a simple earthly event. Coincidence, that’s all anything ever is, nothing more than coincidence… Tom had finally learned, there are no miracles. There’s no such thing as fate, nothing is meant to be. He knew, he was sure of it now.

Verdict – 3/5

Pros –

1) Core sci-fi Concept of a future park.
2) Anthony Hopkins as the lead character. The hero and the villain.
3) “Man in Black/William” twist : the revelation that parallel narratives were actually alternate timelines.
4) Bernard Lowe/Arnold twist

Cons –

1) 4 episodes too long.
2) Thandie Newton as Maeve : most boring sub-plot.
3) Evan Rachel Wood as Dolores subplot : too much philosophy
4) The main plot-hole of the story is Ford.He is the ringleader. No matter how hard the host try, their final move is just another narrative. So no plot-twist can alter the climax when it is already decided by Ford.
