VERDICT – 2/5

PROS –
1) A high octane action packed movie from beginning to the end by Christopher McQuarrie. It’s a mediocre story riddled with back to back great action sequences.
2) Wolf Blitzer cold open cameo.
3) Men’s room hand-to-hand combat.
4) The bike chase sequence in Paris.
5) Plot-twist after plot-twists.
6) Great action sequences at the climax.

CONS –
1) Couldn’t care less about the cliched spy-story or Ethan Hunt‘s family past.

Verdict – 2/5

Pros –
1) Martha’s revelation – from this point onward the cat was out of the bag.
2) A good ensemble of actors.

Cons –
1) Average murder-mystery with one plot-twist.
2) 30 minutes too long. Too much time taken in establishing that Rachel got some psychological illness to confuse the audiences.
3) Tate Taylor was clearly trying to recreate the magic of “Gone Girl” but not everyone is as good as David Fincher.
