VERDICT – 3/5

PROS –
1) A girl secretly hatches a grand plan (with the help of an eccentric psychiatrist) to instigate his submissive boyfriend who is constantly bullied in his personal and professional life.
2) A comedy of odd couple,  full of quirky characters and witty dialogues. A sure shot Adam Sandler entertainer.
3) An effective supporting cast and memorable cameos by Woody Harrelson, John C. Reilly, & Heather Graham.

CONS –
1) The cameo by Rudy Giuliani and the Yankees Team at the end is equally cringy.

QUOTE –
Dr. Buddy Rydell: Let me explain something to you, Dave. There are two kinds of angry people in this world: explosive and implosive. Explosive is the kind of individual you see screaming at the cashier for not taking their coupons. Implosive is the cashier who remains quiet day after day and finally shoots everyone in the store. You’re the cashier.
Dave Buznik: No, no, no. I’m the guy hiding in the frozen food section dialing 911. I swear.

PROS –

CONS –
1) The story of a 24-yrs old unemployed pothead and wannabe tattoo artist. This semi-biographical Pete Davidson movie is as hopeless and unfunny as it can be. A movie without Team Apatow is not a Judd Apatow movie.
2) The last good movie directed by Judd Apatow was Funny People (2009). He should concentrate more on producing movies rather than directing them.
3) Pete Davidson is not a good actor. Him being the central character doesn’t make any sense. It appears Apatow made this movie for him out of pity to prevent him from committing suicide.

PROS –
1) Spider-Man inside the drone-driven illusion of Quentin Beck.
2) Good to see Nick Fury and Happy Hogan in light-hearted roles.
3) J. K. Simmons appearance as J. Jonah Jameson in the post-credits scene. This was mind-blowing!

CONS –
1) One time watch MCU checklist.

VERDICT – 5/5

PROS –
1) The epic finale of the 11-year-old journey culminating with the 22nd film. A journey started by Jon Favreau, led by Joss Whedon, and concluded by the Russo brothers. A rare grand emotional movie event of this generation.
2) The time travel plot enabled the screenwriters to add all the good & bad, major & minor characters from the franchise to make one final cameo in this grand finale.
3) Captain America lifting Mjolnir is got to be the most epic scene of this movie. A scene 4 years in the making.
4) A fulfilling climax for Steve Rogers.
5) Fun filled storyline with great comic-relief from Ant-Man and Thor “The Dude” Lebowski.
6) An epic finale needs an epic sacrifice. It had to be Tony Stark.

Verdict – 2/5

Pros –

1) Spider-man theme song playing with opening Marvel logo
2) Quick Civil War rewind from Peter Parker perspective
3) Battle of New York – the way Marvel is handling that alien attack is unprecedented.Usually in comic books universe, devastating battles are forgotten and people go back to their normal lives but Marvel is treating this plot as MCU’s 9/11
4) Return of the socially inept and introvert Peter Parker.Marvel learned from Sony and didn’t made the same mistake as they did with Andrew Garfield.
5) MJ plot twist

Cons –

1) Nothing worth in this movie for a re-watch
2) Mediocre post-credit scene
3) Summer blockbuster, multi-billions dollars franchise, A-list star-cast but still a mediocre “story” developed by 2 movie-writers and 6 screenwriters

PROS –
1) The Title
2) Great Supporting Cast : Hoffman & Giamatti
3) Hoffman’s loyalty speech.

CONS –
1) Watching this movie after “House Of Cards” leaves you with zero impact. It’s like watching a kids movie after watching a Rated-R movie.
2) Ordinary execution of an ordinary story.

VERDICT – 4/5

PROS –
1) An unskilled, over-smart lawyer trying to defend his innocent cousins from murder charges leading to hilarious proceedings in courtroom. One of the all time must watch classic comedy. Joe Pesci deserved an Oscar for his performance alongside Marisa Tomei.
2) One of the best Courtroom Drama Film.
3) Marisa Tomei’s climactic monologues.

CONS –
1) The character of Vinny Gambini deserved a sequel or a sit-com.
