VERDICT – 2/5

PROS –
1) Not as good as the original but still a fun one time watch.
2) Cameos – Chevy Chase, Keegan-Michael Key and Regina Hall.
3) Tartan Prancer – the funniest “character” of this road-trip movie.

CONS –
1) Nothing much was expected from this run-of-the-mill comedy anyway. Half of the jokes are already in the trailer.

Rusty Griswold: [on ATVs] Are there helmets?
Stone Crandall: Yeah, I keep ’em with the tampons.

Verdict – 1/5

Pros –
1) Ike Barinholtz as Hunter – the only saving grace from this disaster
2) Gary Cole sub-plot provides some relief

Cons –
1) If you’ve seen the trailer then you can skip the first 60 minutes of the movie. Even the only sequence (beer chugging) where the writer tried to add slapstick humor was included in the trailer.
2) The movie is not funny. It never clicks. John Cena is trying to step foot in Will Ferrell shoes.
3) The only reason why it’s getting rave reviews of being a “progressive” teen-sex-comedy is due to the LGBT sub-plot

Pros –

1) Treat of watching 3 stalwarts : De Niro, DeVito, Keitel.
2) Some great comic bits delivered by De Niro

Cons –

1) There is no story. The love-story sub-plot is not helping either.
2) Some great sequences but if you add them together the outcome is mediocre.

Ronnie: Keith Richards looked 70 when he was 40. And now that he’s 70 he looks 69. He’s regenerating.
