VERDICT – 4/5

PROS –
1) The epic saga comes to an end with the death of Lord Voldemort after the destruction of all the six Horcruxes. Harry himself being the 7th Horcrux was a major revelation.
2) Epic moments: The shyest character of this epic saga, Neville Longbottom, decapitating Nagini (the 6th Horcrux) with the Sword of Gryffindor; Minerva McGonagall‘s duel with Snape to save Hogwarts; Harry, Ron, and Hermione quest to the Bellatrix Lestrange’s vault at Gringotts bank to retrieve Helga Hufflepuff‘s cup (the 4th Horcrux).
3) The Tale of the Three Brothers – This story remains the crux of the saga. The 3 Deathly Hallows defined the destiny of Voldemort, Snape, and Harry.
4) Hedwig’s Theme – Not playing this theme in the end credits would’ve been a disappointment.

CONS –
1) The uneventful death of Severus Snape. This major character died without any major fight.
2) The epilogue was quite unnecessary and also depressing up to an extent.

QUOTE –
Dumbledore: After all this time?
Snape: Always.

VERDICT – 2/5

PROS –
1) The young trio is running from the Death Eaters without any mentor while Voldemort is busy securing the Elder Wand.
2) Dobby giving the ultimate sacrifice while saving Harry, Ron, and Hermione along with Luna, Ollivander, and Griphook.
3) “The Tale of the Three Brothers”
4) Ron, Harry, and Hermione quest to Ministry of Magic, disguising themselves as Ministry employees to steal the locket from Dolores Umbridge.

CONS –
1) The lighting is so dark that it’ll give audiences a headache to watch it. The colour themes are so dark even Tim Burton wouldn’t dare to watch it.
2) The screenplay is boring and half of the time we see a despaired Harry and Hermione in the wilderness.

QUOTE –
Bellatrix Lestrange: How dare you defy your master!
Dobby the House Elf: Dobby has no master. Dobby is a free elf, and Dobby has come to save Harry Potter and his friends!

VERDICT – 3/5

PROS –
1) Tom Riddle aka Lord Voldemort divided his soul into seven pieces by creating Horcruxes. Dumbledore deploys Harry to figure out this hidden secret from the Potions professor Horace Slughorn. The major chunk of the movie is spent in this plot.
2) Severus Snape, the title character, the man torn between two vows.
3) Death of another major character [Albus Dumbledore].

CONS –
1) Ron Weasley‘s romantic sub-plot with an overly attached girl-friend was completely futile.
2) No major battle sequences and neither any appearance from Voldemort. Without much action, the 153-minute run-time is a drag.
3) One can understand that the story is getting thematically darker but at the same time, the director shouldn’t make it “literally” dark up to an extent where it’s impossible to figure out what’s happening. The lighting in the film is so annoyingly dark that hardly anything is visible.

QUOTE –
Professor Minerva: Why is it, when something happens, it is always you three?
Ron Weasley: Believe me, Professor. I’ve been asking myself the same question for six years.

VERDICT – 5/5

PROS –
1) The Harry Potter saga took a grim turn after the death of Cedric Diggory. The movie follows the turmoil at Hogwarts where Dumbledore acknowledges the return of Voldemort, while the Ministry of Magic is reluctant to believe it.
2) Imelda Staunton as Dolores Umbridge gave an everlasting performance as the new boss bitch of Hogwarts with an irritating smug on her face.
3) Death of a major character (Sirius Black); Lucius Malfoy is finally exposed & sent to Azkaban; the film ends with a kick-ass boss fight between Lord Voldemort & Albus Dumbledore.
4) “The Ministry Of Magic” with a sample of “One Day More” from Les Misérables.

CONS –
