VERDICT – 3/5

PROS –
1) An action-packed comedic mockumentary where Kevin Hart is playing a fictional version of himself who’s done playing the comedic sidekick of the leading action stars and decides to become the leading man. For that, he is sent to get trained in an “action star school”.
2) All 10 episodes are less than 10-minutes long which is very refreshing and very revolutionary approach from Quibi.
3) A good ensemble of actors. Watching John Travolta in a fun role was the best thing.

CONS –
1) The viewers can smell the final plot twist from a mile.
2) It could’ve been released as a 90 minutes movie instead.

VERDICT – 5/5

PROS –
1) A prank goes too far for a shy telekinetic teenage girl on prom night.
2) The pig-blood prank on clueless Carrie rejoicing her win is one of the most disturbing scenes in a horror movie. The prank itself is more shocking than the prom massacre.
3) Piper Laurie’s performance as Carrie’s abusive Bible-basher mother gives us a better perspective on the mental state of Carrie.
4) Contest Winners – Pino Donaggio.

CONS –

VERDICT – 4/5

PROS –
1) A political assassination from the perspective of a suave sound recordist and a dumb hooker.
2) Downbeat and disheartening climax. Jack using Sally’s scream in the exploitation film instead of solving the case.
3) Visually stylish film as expected from Brian De Palma. There is obviously a major influence of Francis Ford Coppola’s The Conversation (1974).

CONS –
1) John Lithgow as Burke: By the end of the movie this Anton Chigurh like character became too significant to be neglected.

Sam: I didn’t hire her for her scream, Jack, I hired her for her tits!

2) John Travolta as Chili Palmer – The movie buff loan-shark
3) Outstanding cast
4) Smooth music & sleek fast-paced screenplay

VERDICT – 3/5

PROS –
1) Samuel L. Jackson as Master Sgt. Nathan West – a larger than life character
2) Sgt. West training monologues
3) Final plot twist.
4) Possibly the last John McTiernan movie. It’s last but definitely not the least.

CONS –
1) Weak presentation and marketing. This movie is terribly under-rated.
