Good Night, and Good Luck. (2005)

Verdict – 2/5

Pros –
1) Huge ensemble but it’s a David Strathairn show – The defiant cigarette smoking broadcast journalist.

Cons –
1) It’s a documentary – if any movie is using prime elements of the plot from archive news footage, don’t sweat to call it a feature film.
2) Pretentious movie – lacking adrenaline of a newsroom.

Quote –
Edward R. Murrow: This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise, it is merely wires and lights in a box. Good night, and good luck.
