Death Rides a Horse (1967)

STORY – 1

MUSIC – 1
CULT – 1

Verdict – 5/5

Pros –
1) A highly influential Spaghetti Western revenge saga which inspired many future blockbusters across the world.
2) The main theme by Ennio Morricone. We should be thankful to Quentin Tarantino for introducing us to these forgotten gems through his movies.
3) Final twist when Bill discovers the necklace bearing a skull belongs to Ryan.
4) Elements of nature – opening rain sequence, house on fire, Bill buried alive from the neck down, and final gun battle in the dust storm.
5) Full of witty one-liners and interesting small characters

Cons –
1) Easy death for prime-villain Walcott.

Quote –
Ryan: Somebody once wrote that revenge is a dish that has to be eaten cold. As hot as you are, you’re liable to end with indigestion.
