Verdict – 2/5

Pros –
1) Hugh Jackman – versatile actor proving his knack once again
2) The final tree of life sequence
3) The one sequence where Hugh’s character is lost in his thought while crossing the street and audiences can hear only his footsteps.

Cons –
1) The audiences will not waste their time to decipher this boring and philosophical movie with a non-linear storyline.

Verdict – 4/5

Pros –
1) “Dustopian” Future
2) Matt Damon Plot-Twist
3) Michael Caine Space Voice Over
4) Fifth Dimension Portrayal
5) Nolan’s obsession with “limbo”.Nolan is clearly exploring the “relativity of time” factor as he did it in Inception.
6) Planet Lazarus
7) Cliffhanger ending
8) Ellen Burstyn as Elderly Murph (reminds me of Vanessa Redgrave in Atonement).

Cons –
1) Often more like a documentary during the first half.
2) Concepts of wormhole, black-hole, relativity,5th Dimension etc. introduced and twisted as per director’s convenience to cover up plot-holes.
3) There is a certain resemblance to Shyamalan’s Universe.
4) Cooper’s Station looks like the space station from Elysium
5) Morse Code Communication
