VERDICT – 4/5

PROS –
1) A grand debut for Edward Norton. The split personalities he played in his debut film works as a great precursor for his future projects with a similar theme like Fight Club (1999) and The Incredible Hulk (2008)
2) The great climactic plot-twist. Without this twist, the entire plot is stale.
3) Good supporting cast.

CONS –
1) Slow screenplay which is 20 minutes too long

Roy: Jesus Christ, Marty. If that’s what you think, I am disappointed in you, I don’t mind telling you. There never was an Aaron… counselor!

Verdict – 5/5

Pros –
1) Postscript Amitabh Bachchan Poem.
2) Core plot of the movie in end-credits.
3) Smart editing. Second half is more better.
4) No songs.
5) Amitabh Bachchan as a lawyer in a courtroom drama. This is a spiritual sequel to Damini . A troubled lawyer coming out of retirement to rescue the helpless. This is the perfect Bollywood take on Gran Torino  or Harry Brown.
6) Excellent Supporting cast (especially Dhritiman Chatterjee as Judge Satyajit Dutt)
7) This may be Amitabh’s best performance in last 2 decades.
