VERDICT – 3/5

PROS –
1) Another feather in Amitabh’s cap. He played Mirza, an old cunning husband waiting for his old wife to die so that he can inherit the decaying haveli.
2) This is a Panchatantra kind of story where 2 scheming parties are outsmarted by the weak victim.
3) Vijay Raaz and Brijendra Kala are two excellent actors who played their roles as expected.

CONS –
1) Ayushmann Khurrana’s role didn’t have much substance. He hardly got any memorable scene.

3) Gatsby and Daisy reunion scene. Leo DiCaprio poured his soul into this romantic sequence.
4) Brave soundtrack by Jay-Z where contemporary music is amalgamated with 1920s America. Best recreated song – “Crazy in Love” (performed by Emeli Sandé with The Bryan Ferry Orchestra)

4) Surprisingly just 6-months before the release of this movie, a movie on the same theme, Phullu is already released.
